Wagon Wheel flea market closes after 55 years.

Everyone started texting me their condolences and I didn’t know what was happening. A market that existed for 5 decades, was suddenly gone within a few months.

My little deli was not meant to be moved, so that meant it was a permanent closure for me as well. A punch to the gut.

As I felt I couldn’t loose everything, I moved things into our garage. I had the concession stand towed to our back yard. The axel fell apart, which is how it is considered a “food truck”. The roof fascia got smashed. It took a good beating, but I refused to see it end up in a landfill.

I propped it up on cinder blocks; and waited out the COVID storm.
